      • Wedding Make Up – Oxford Louise did mine and my bridesmaids wedding make up earlier this month and I thoroughly recommend her. She made us all look absolutely stunning and I genuinely felt like a princess. We all got so many compliments and our make up stayed on all day. She was also so calm and organised in the morning. Her timings all ran smoothly including extra time for touch ups and allowing time for putting on my wedding dress. She definitely put me at ease especially when time was counting down quickly in the last half and hour and things were feeling more stressful.

        I was lucky enough to have Louise come and do the makeup for my bridal party at my wedding on 16th April this year and she was simply amazing. Your wedding morning is such a special time and Louise fitted right in- making the preparations even more special for me and my girls. She was warm, kind, happy, chatty and seemed genuinely excited to be part of our day- it was like we had known her for years and she was one of the team which I just loved. All 4 of my bridesmaids and my mum fell in love with their makeup just like I did. She managed to get us all looking just how we had imagined and we have never felt so pretty. We all have very different skin types and tones but Louise was able to use a variety of skills and products to make us all look amazing. She stayed right to the end for final touch ups and was on hand with cotton buds after a few happy tears were shed pre wedding ceremony. I even remember asking her ‘does my dress look ok’ because by that point she was just one of the group!
        I would recommend Louise to anyone getting married and cannot believe my luck that I just happened to stumble across her on Hitched. I had already worked with Louise previously as she did my bridesmaid make-up at my sister-in-law’s wedding, and I was not disappointed in asking Louise to do my own wedding make up. She achieved exactly what I imagined; natural but not at all heavy make up, lasted all day and I did not have to consider touching up once. I looked the best version of myself without feeling like a different person with completely new make up. Competitive pricing compared to some other super expensive quotes I received, and honestly I don’t see how paying more could have achieved anything more than what Louise did.         I was recommended Louise and feel very lucky to have found her. She was very professional and warm from first contact, arranging a trial make up session, which was a lovely experience. Louise listened to what I wanted and did not want, and created the perfect look for the big day – the result was that I looked like the best version of myself, better than I could have imagined. Louise had four full make up sessions in the morning, with age ranges between 17 to 53 to cater for, and the process went without a hitch – Louise had sent suggested timings beforehand, and worked alongside the hairdresser. She also brought in tweaks and suggestions, and is up to date on current trends and products. The four of us noticed that Louise worked magic in managing to make our eyes ‘pop’ – I have no idea how she managed this whilst also keeping the look natural. On the day, Louise added to the fun of getting ready. She is a warm, calm presence, really good company, and good fun – she is also not intrusive at all, managing to keep everything and everyone on track with a quiet confidence. We all absolutely loved Louise’s work, and the makeup lasted all day, with no touch ups required – it even survived a very emotional wedding ceremony.       • I am 65yrs old and not really a makeup ‘user’. Now 1/2 way through chemo I have no head hair and eyebrows and lashes almost gone so I thought it was time for help! Googling makeup artists, I was a bit overwhelmed by the glamour so emailed Louise to see if she was prepared to take me on. The reply was reassuring and enthusiastic (she had previous experience with someone on chemo). I booked a 2 hour lesson at home and asked her to start ‘from the beginning’. I learnt loads about skin care, products and application. At the end I had managed to create brows and eye lash effect and my skin blotches had disappeared. Her wedding clients demonstrate the glamour she creates but for those in my situation or less used to makeup I strongly recommend Louise for her patience, knowledge and she’s also a lovely person! I had previously had poor experiences through numerous wedding make up trials with other ‘makeup artists’ so I was nervous to trust someone to do the job on my special day. Not only is Louise highly professional and hugely talented with a wealth of experience and knowledge, she also only uses premium products and hygiene standards with equipment/brushes used was impeccable which was important to me and my bridal party who needed to use hypoallergenic products.       • I first met Louise at a wedding fair at Stoke Place in 2014 where I took her details and later made contact to arrange a makeup trial. Louise did my makeup when I got married at Stoke Place in April 2015. She also did the makeup for my mum and four of my bridesmaids. I couldn’t have been happier with the results.         She doesn’t usually wear make up so wanted as natural as possible, Louise made her feel at ease and created a wonderful result, she was professional but also friendly and brought all of our ideas to life.
        She is also a lovely, warming person who made the start of the day that little bit more enjoyable.

      • I booked Louise Jackson to do my bridal make-up and that of my two bridesmaids and the Mother of the Bride for our Wedding in September 2009. I was impressed from the start; at my trial she took into consideration my sensitive skin and used the appropriate foundation to suit me, she listened to my ideas for the eye make-up and added her own suggestions to ensure I looked as beautiful as can be for the big day.
        Having my make up done by Louise on my wedding day made me feel fantastic and it was such a treat to get pampered on this very important day; I could not have done it myself to anywhere near the same standard. My Mum and Bridesmaids both looked equally amazing and were so happy with the results.

      • I have used Louise’s make up services numerous times now and wouldn’t like to go to anyone else as Louise has always done such a good job. The first time Louise did my make up was at my sister’s wedding having been recommended her by a friend, and both the bride and bridesmaids were very happy. Myself and my sister suffer from black bags under our eyes and find it difficult to conceal them. Louise managed this easily and gave advice for the future. The last time I asked Louise to do my make up was for my 30th birthday as I was feeling very drab and old and needed rejuvenating. She was early on the day very prepared as we had done a trial and Louise gave me a few ideas of what would look good on me and my bridesmaids. So we were all ready to go on the day!
